How to check the printer toner
The printer uses the ink carbon powder printed page to see your computer. To make sure you have enough ink, you can check your Printer toner Cartridges level. The steps to check the amount of carbon powder in printer ink can be directly from your computer, similar PC and Mac. When you pull up the state of the ink printer, the display will show the current color of the carbon powder on your printer.
For PC
- Move to the start menu and scroll to the control panel option.
- Click control panel and open the control panel window.
- Double click the "printer and fax" icon in the control panel. This opens a new window showing all the printers connected to your computer, both wired and wireless. Find the printer to use and check the ink toner.
- Select and highlight your printer's ink toner level.
- Click on the printer icon to open the drop-down menu.
- "printer preferences", from the drop-down menu, specific printer options. This will prompt the print preferences window to pop up.
- Select the label that says "service" on the right popup window. This will allow you to access the printer's device service to allow you to select maintenance printing devices.
- Press the button to write "service" in the "print preferences" window of "maintenance of this device". This will prompt you to select a specific printing device toolbox window to pop up. This will have three separate tabs, "device services" at the top of the window, "estimated ink volume" and "configuration".
- Select the "estimated ink amount" TAB in the middle of the three label printing equipment toolbox "top of the window". This area will show the approximate remaining ink for your printer.
- Move to a Mac hard drive. This is the "Macintosh HD" or a desktop image that is usually classified as a drive tag. Double-click the icon. This opens a window showing the "Macintosh HD" hard drive in the folder.
- Until you reach the folder of your printer, you will have your printer name and specify a blue folder. For example, if you have an HP printer, name the folder "HP". Double-click the folder of your printer.
- Double-click on your printer utility folder. This will open all the folders that connect to your computer on that particular printer label printer. For example, if you have a "HP" folder, its utility folder, you will see all HP printers associated with your computer.
- Select the printer to use to check the amount of carbon powder. This brings up all the information about the selected printer in the main window.
- Click on the "consumable status" icon in the "information and support" section of the main window. This will retrieve your printer information and show the carbon powder of each color.
